Extension Groups
Extension Groups are small groups that meet midweek with the goal of growing towards a church plant. They exist under The Point Extended umbrella, and can meet in cafes, homes, or other venues.
The Point DNA
We fully believe the Bible is the living word of God, and when we apply Biblical principles to our lives and relationships, we fully experience the kingdom of God! We want each Extension Group to fully express The Point DNA while adapting to the local culture.
A Community
Leadership doesn’t have to be lonely. When you lead an Extension Group, you’ll be connected to a network of leaders and resources designed to strengthen and encourage you.
Content + Resources
We provide all Extension Group leaders with a digital library of teaching resources. You also will have access to our leadership team for coaching and discipleship.

WHO CAN APPLY TO LEAD A GROUP?
If you love Jesus, have a passion for gathering people, and want to partner with The Point, you’re in the right spot! We welcome applications from those who are connected with The Point, align with our vision, but don’t live near any of our campuses and those who are already plugged in to The Point and have a heart to start gathering people in a specific area away from our campuses.

Prayerfully consider if leading an Extension Group is for you. Leadership requirements include volunteering time and consistently leading and caring for those around you, and knowing you are called to plant a church is essential. If you are currently part of The Point, please reach out to your campus leader before submitting your application.

Leaders
Karl and Amanda Gibson oversee Extension Groups. They have been with The Point since 2009 and during that time have led in many areas of church life, including leading a church plant and overseeing The Point campuses. Karl and Amanda are passionate about Jesus, marriage, families and planting churches to expand the kingdom of God!
